Risk Disclosure
Last updated: January 2026
Important notice
Options trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for every investor. Autopilot Options does not guarantee profits or prevent losses. Users are responsible for reviewing their settings, understanding the risks, and monitoring their accounts.
1. Options trading risk
Options are complex financial instruments. Their value can decline to zero, and losses may be substantial. Options strategies involving the sale of options can result in losses exceeding the initial premium received. You should not trade options unless you understand the risks and can afford to sustain a total loss of the funds you commit.
2. Automated execution risk
Autopilot Options places orders automatically based on settings you configure. System errors, network interruptions, brokerage API outages, or configuration mistakes may result in unintended trades, missed executions, or other unexpected outcomes. You remain solely responsible for monitoring your account and reviewing all activity.
3. No guarantees
Autopilot Options does not guarantee profits, specific returns, or that you will not experience losses. Past performance of any strategy — whether backtested, simulated, or live — does not guarantee future results. Market conditions change, and strategies that have historically produced gains may produce losses.
4. Your responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing and understanding your risk settings before enabling live trading. You are responsible for monitoring your brokerage account, reviewing trade activity, and making adjustments as needed. You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from trading activity.
5. Paper trading mode
Paper trading uses real-time market data to simulate order execution without placing actual orders. Paper trading results are simulated and do not account for order slippage, partial fills, or other real-world execution factors. Paper trading performance is not predictive of live trading performance.
6. Brokerage accounts
Autopilot Options accesses your brokerage account solely to execute trades within your defined parameters. We do not custody your funds. Your assets remain at your brokerage, subject to that institution's terms, protections, and risks. Autopilot Options is not responsible for brokerage-side issues, failures, or losses.
7. Not financial advice
Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Autopilot Options is a software tool. You should consult a qualified financial advisor before trading options or making investment decisions.
8. Suitability
Options trading is not suitable for every investor. You should have sufficient knowledge of options strategies, an ability to sustain potential losses, and a risk tolerance appropriate for speculative trading. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
